My best mates record just got released
He’s been given airtime on BBC radio 6 and radio 1 on their late night shows. Im not huge fan of electronic music but its been how he dealt with his anxiety and agoraphobia for the last 4 years. Since he never went out it’s pretty much all he’s done since he dropped out of sixth form. He got a lot of stick for doing it from people who A/ said he wasn’t any good at it and B/ from people who couldn’t understand his condition and thought he was just pissing away his future. Now he’s got multiple requests for management and offers from about 15 labels including a branch of Mute who put out Nick Cave’s records. It’s an immensely satisfying fuck you to a whole number of people and I’m damn proud of him.
